No, it was not excruciating

Over the weekend our family went to see…

It’s a winner.

Great story.

Very touching.

Dripping with the customary Disney sentimentalism.

An unexpected plot twist.

And visually stunning.

My husband is a tad older than me says that he went to the movies as a kid there was always a cartoon, usually two that were shown before the main feature. They were typical cartoons of the time, each about five minutes that were called “shorts.”

“Coco” also has a short.

Only it’s not so short.

Nor is it called, as you notice, a short.

We didn’t know it was part of the deal, but we loved it.

Many on social media are in a lather, however, because of its length.

This is no short, especially when you consider it runs 20 minutes and there’s a theater full of kids anxiously awaiting the adventures of a young Hispanic boy.

Another tweet called the wait for the main attraction “excruciating.”

If you haven’t seen “Coco” yet you now have been given the heads up.

Personally, I wouldn’t miss the Frozen featurette. But if you’d rather skip it, just show up 20 minutes later.
